Well, not quite.
I don’t have all the gear. But I do have a camera now. No, it isn’t the most top of the range camera on the market but it does the job, and it does the job well.
It was my birthday last month and one of my gifts was the Nikon D3400, it’s a great starter camera for those who want to experiment with photography. Yes, I am one of those people.
I have always enjoyed taking photos but there was never any pressure to learn how to do it professionally because I was just snapping away with my smartphone. But now I have a decent camera, I figured that maybe I should start learning so I can make the most of the features.
One step at a time though, photography will always be first and foremost a hobby, like with my writing. My focus (excuse the pun) right now is getting better .
So until I discover how to fancily edit my photos I’m using an app called Afterlight, it’s alright for me at the moment but I’m sure when I get the hang of things I’ll look into something a bit more professional.
I’m going to post some of the photo’s I have taken here. Feel free to take a look, and if you have any advice for a beginner, feel free to impart your wisdom in the comments below – I would love to hear how you started off, and any tips or tricks you found useful.
Until my next random thought..
